LOVE IS A… Hometown PVRIS Show

What better way to celebrate pride than with a concert loaded up with queer artists? We had the opportunity to check out PVRIS’ most recent Boston headliner at House of Blues and had the best time. Not only did we have the pleasure of Sizzy Rocket and Pale Waves at our show but we were blessed with not one but TWO hometown heroes that night. The local Boston band, Shallow Pools, played an opening slot for their hometown pals of PVRIS. Pale Waves put on a dancey-as-hell set as direct support and got the whole room, and film team (our eyes are peeled for whatever project called for the show to be professionally recorded), ready for PVRIS. You can tell how excited and happy everyone was to see PVRIS hit the stage - from the fans in the front row to friends and family on the mezzanine, everyone was singing and jumping along. Their production was compelling with an artistic use of light that seamlessly created the cool but dark vibe PVRIS curates so well in a fully encompassing way. From seeing PVRIS play small rooms in the city and the smallest stage on Warped Tour to effortlessly packing a room full of passionate fans is exhilarating. With other artists in town like Hootie & the Blowfish across the road at Fenway Park, or Lizzy McAlpine at MGM Music Hall, those who chose to check out PVRIS had no regrets that night.
